If a teacher only spends 10 hours a week with a student, can they fill out an ASQ:SE-2 for the child? Are the results still valid and reliable?

No, 10 hours a week with a child is not enough time for a teacher to complete an ASQ:SE-2 for the child. Teachers or caregivers should spend at least 15-20 hours a week with a child in order to complete questionnaires for the child. In addition, the teacher or caregiver should have spent enough time with the child over a period of weeks to know the child’s typical behavior—that is, a child care provider or teacher may not be able to accurately respond within the first two weeks of meeting a child but should have enough knowledge after a month or so.
