For the Overall question "Do you think your child talks like other children his age?" some parents check "No" and state "My child has a better vocabulary than other children his age." On the Information Summary sheet, should we acknowledge the child's skill, write the parent's comments in the text box, and mark "Yes" to indicate there are no concerns in this area? Or should we mark "No" even though there are no parental concerns?
Sometimes parents will indicate their child outperforms other children. The ASQ developers recommend transferring the parent's answer, in this case, "No" and adding a note to the summary section that the parent's concerns do not warrant further assessment or referral.
Does ASQ Online have a mobile app?
No, there is not an app for ASQ Online. However, ASQ Family Access pages are responsively designed, which allows the pages to adjust based on the size of the mobile device allowing for easy readability. We are currently exploring developing an app for parents.

No, ASQ-3 has not received an endorsement from the Center for Applied Linguistics or the National Center for Family Literacy. ASQ-3 has been favorable reviewed by many organizations, such as the American Academy of Pediatrics and Child Neurology Society, but these reviews do not imply endorsement.
Is ASQ-3 considered IRB-approved?
Each individual research study using ASQ needs to be individually approved with a specific institutional review board (IRB). A tool is not given blanket approval to be used in research studies across institutions. Numerous IRB-approved studies have been completed using ASQ at many universities and hospitals.
